Product Review | Glossier Brow Flick

Kim Pham October 29, 2019

Much hype has surrounded this product and I was equally excited to wait in line at the NYC Glossier store to get my hands on it. There were feelings of joy and exhilaration as I entered the beautiful, highly-instagrammable space. My mission: obtain the Brow Flick.

INITIAL IMPRESSION

  • More pigmented than other brow pens I've tested before (STILA, K-Palette)

  • Adequate initial shade range. I would love to see a grey-toned pen squeezed between BROWN and BLOND.

  • Long-wearing! I rubbed at my hand almost instantly and it did not budge.

UPON APPLICATION

  • Slightly difficult to apply, don't do it in a rush.

  • Pressure is key. Like a really good massage, you have to know when to have light pressure (at the front of the brow), and heavy pressure (sparse areas).

  • You'll get the hang of it pretty fast, light feather strokes become easy to obtain.

PRO TIP

  • I usually apply brow mascara first. It helps to lay the foundation of my brow hairs and allows me to see where I need to fill in. It also prevents nasty gaps that you often see after brushing up your brows.

  • Take your time. Don't feel you have to perfect every stroke.

  • Start at the end of the brow where there are more hairs. They help disguise some of the messy strokes before you start to gain the confidence to do the front end.

This product is a god-send. Initially, it was hard to use because I wasn't used to drawing on my brow hairs. After a few strokes, I was hooked. I love how long it lasts and wouldn't have my brows any other way.

Any other products you want to hear about? Let me know!

I saw myself constantly gravitating toward these pencils and so I felt the need to review. Extremely blendable and versatile, the @makeupforever Pencils have now become a staple in my kit. I can’t wait for some fun colours to be released. Shades mentioned: ✨ Endless Cacao (greyish brown) ✨ Limitless Brown (warm, dark brown) ✨ Wherever Walnut (neutral rose) ✨ Anywhere Caffeine (warm spice brown)

A new favourite added to the collection. It literally combines all the scents I grew up with. It’s insanely fresh whilst enveloping you in a warm spicy cloud. I prefer scents that aren’t overpowering to my nose but still remain interesting (especially if you stand close by). @shiro_japan Spice of Life
