Now that you've heard all about Cool Girl and Easy Updo, I'll explain more about the rest of his range and why I absolutely love having them in my kit.

Named 'modern' for his decision to create a hairspray that wasn't like the typical, boring hairsprays we see in the shops. He and his team have researched and trialled countless hairsprays for many years and found them to be extremely heavy, tacky, and shiny. We all know that hairspray that was like spraying glue on the hairs. It just wouldn't budge and would feel like plastic. Most hairsprays like to hold your style in for a whole week, let along let you brush it out to try another hairstyle.

This is where the difference of modern hairspray comes in. Inspired by Mcknight's immeasurable experiences backstage, he wanted to create a hairspray that would hold the hairstyle whilst having the ability to be brushed out, heated and, most importantly, easily changed to another style. His decision to have a semi-matte finish is what really sold me as I have had a lot of experience with hairsprays from dance and loathe that shiny, crunchy feeling.

I fell even more in love with this spray because it held my curl for a good 3 days - that's with a lot of brushing and touching I might add. A great tip I learned from his team was spraying each strand with Modern Hairspray before curling. It doesn't leave the hair crunchy, instead acts as a mild heat protectant and seals in the curl.

Don't even get me started on Lazy Girl. The name itself speaks to me on a deeper level. A 95% translucent spray that is a refresher for the hair between washes. Now, if you're anything like me (and 99% of the women out there) you would be using dry shampoo whenever it got real oily. Not anymore. As the man says it, 'its dry shampoo, not shampoo...'

I now use this in-between my wash, quite literally the day after I wash my hair and noticed a significant difference. No more oily strands after 2 days. On my dark hair, it worked incredibly well and I loved the tip of spraying it onto your brush and using the brush to take out the shine from foundation near the hairline or sweat from fringes.

Now I know there's no photo of Lazy Girl, but you can trust that I used it that morning :)
