Advice | Travel Essentials
As promised I'm going to list some of the things that really helped my skin while on holiday.
Holidays can honestly be such a fun time. We indulge in all the food we see and drink whatever we want! It's the moment we come back from holidays where the little skin issue arises. That nasty break out that lingers on our tanned face for a good few weeks. Super annoying.
I definitely know the struggles of coming back with a massive break out, and I know I'm not the only one. On my recent trip overseas, I decided to experiment with my regime and see if I could tame the post-holiday break out.
Hope you guys enjoy, and let me know what you guys bring overseas.
- Clarisonic
- Mini Foaming cleanser
- Hydrating serum
- Moisturiser
- SPF
- Exfoliating wipes
- Makeup remover
- Masks
Just like my post navigating the skincare world with a regime, I've got a makeup remover, cleanser, moisturiser, SPF, and exfoliator - in the form of a wipe.
SPF! I can not stress this enough. Sunscreen is such a must even in cloudy climates. If you see your mum freaking out about sun spots, you'll be exactly the same later on. Shock horror!
The Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads are a perfect way to bring your exfoliator with you. You can just toss the wipes when you're done AND they save space.
You'll notice I mentioned my Clarisonic - it comes in handy on my lazy days when I need a deeper cleanse and can not deal with the sink mess. I honestly believe in them and find that they really work well on premature blackheads and preventing acne. Even when you have blemishes, it is equally effective! I always have random spots that pop up on my cheek but a buffing of it with my Clari and its all gone the next day. Really love it!
A hydrating serum is something not a lot of people don't think to bring. I do believe it is as essential as a moisturiser. Really helps after long haul flights and helps to retain moisture in the skin to prevent dehydration. Then again, I'm super bias because I have super dry skin. For oily/combo skin types, a hydrating toner that diminishes the look of pores probably sounds more appealing. (If so, give Sunday Riley's Martian Toner a go).
The other essentials I bring are usually in the form of mini travel sizes. If the trip is longer then I tend to bring the full size product along with me.
