Product Review | Korres Wild Rose 15% Vitamin C Spotless Serum
You all know how much I love the Korres brand. Ethical, effective skincare that doesn't break the bank. For more information on the philosophy of Korres, you can find it here.
The Product
The bi-phase vitamin C serum is formulated to help with dullness, improve the appearance of dark spots and first wrinkles. The top layer comprises of the wild rose oil which contains 10% Wild Rose Oil, 15% Super C, and a combination of natural root extracts. The water phase is a blend of sea fern extract and provitamin B5 that helps to prevent pigmentation from absorbing into the cells, thus lowering the chances of pigmentation coming back.
The Application
This is such a beautiful serum to apply. Upon initial use you get to feel the emulsion of the oil and water absorb easily into the skin, leaving you feeling really plump and hydrated. It's extremely smoothing and imparts the glossiest glow onto the skin. It feels as lightweight as a serum but also as nourishing like an oil. The scent is also to die for! Formulated without synthetic fragrances, you can really smell the natural rose scent. It's subtle but still distinct, so for all you fragrance sensitive gals out there, this one is for you.
On oilier skin types, I honestly think you'll love this as well. The rose oil is bio-identical, meaning your skin will respond positively to the skincare and absorb it easily into the skin. Therefore, you won't produce as much oil after application.
The Results
I've tried many vitamin C's out there, and have equally raved about their benefits. This one has got to be one of my favourites to apply, especially if you wear makeup everyday. The first few weeks of application, there was a visible difference in the texture and luminosity to the skin. I barely noticed any dryness in my eczema prone skin and was so thrilled it didn't ball up under makeup.
In the long-term (2-3 months) I noticed my old acne scars had faded a bit. I think if I had another bottle, it'll probably fade completely. Overall texture of my skin was much smoother. Any imperfections or dented scars had be refined significantly.

Korres is a brand with integrity. Their pharmaceutical background ensures you have the right efficacy and percentages in each product. It's a brand you can really trust. You see this in their ingredients list. The first 4-5 ingredients are practically what make up the whole product.
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate - An oil soluble form of vitamin C (practically found in most serums nowadays) which absorbs a lot deeper and is bio-available to the skin as it comes from the Wild Rose in Greece. 5% of this stuff is actually 3x more effective than L-Ascorbic acid (usually unstable). So getting 15% of it is the real deal.
Then you've got bisabolol and ginger root extract - These ingredients are potent anti-irritants and strengthen the skin's resistance to environmental pollution, temperature and UV radiation. Making it really appealing for sensitive skin types.
Gotta love some Squalane to help moisturise the skin. It's a lipid-like ingredient that is commonly used to hydrate and seal in moisture.
I am definitely getting a second bottle of this and would love to hear your thoughts if you have tried it.
Until next time!
